Commissions

If you are looking for a bespoke, colourful piece of a

art work, then I'm your gal!

Below you will find original artwork by ECCarter Art that has been commissioned by customers with their feedback. I am often asked what the process is when commissioning a piece  of artwork, so here it is:

  • Quote given after initial contact - please give measurements and a rough idea of concept (Landscape, abstract, memorial, other)

  • 1:1 consultation - face to face at your home ( if local) or via video call

  • Confirmation from customer with 50% non refundable deposit. (Payment plan options are available, to be discussed on an individual basis - #affordableart - just ask! I believe art should be accessible to all.)

  • Updates on work, upon request

  • Postage (paid by customer) or pick up of work on receipt of full payment - including postage

My work is very free flowing, colourful and individual to each customer. I am unable to created strict, rigid outcomes due to the nature of my process.

But be assured it will blow your socks off!

My children have always loved going to Kilmardinny Loch, a short walk from our house. It became our haven during lockdown. We regularly visited it for some peace and quiet and to reconnect with nature. I took a photo of my children enjoying their time at the loch and thought it would look lovely as a painting. I chose Emily to commission the piece of art for my living room as I had seen her work and I loved the bright and bold colours she uses. I knew that her artistic interpretation of the photograph would brighten up my rather dull living room. However I had no idea just how much this painting would change my understanding, my appreciation and my love for art....

Emily takes you on a journey with her art work. It’s a process, a collaboration. She made me part of the whole painting and really took the time to get to know me, my personality, my passions...even when I didn’t know myself! She shared regular updates on the progress of the painting and sent me pictures to see what I thought. We’ve been on such an amazing journey together and I now have this stunning painting on my wall and it just radiates joy, love, heart, soul and new beginnings.

I would highly recommend Emily to commission a piece of art for your home. It’s so much more than just a painting. It’s a little piece of love on your wall!

Steetley Pier.jpg

We had a big space to fill and we wanted it filling with colour. From listening to my memories of Steetley beach and a few dodgy pictures of the pooches, Emily created what I can only describe as a mind blowing, colour exploding, neon masterpiece! Emily was fabulous at taking my jumbled ideas and making sense of what I had in my mind. Communication and care were first rate. The payment plan was a great touch and was easy and affordable. The pictures don't do it justice and the whole piece changes in different lights. I have to say that seeing Riley and Rosa playing on the beach together was quite emotional as they never actually met. I can't recommend Emily enough. I love my painting and will look at it forever with a smile. Thank you

Tuskar Lighthouse

Emily, my husband absolutely loved it! I'm about to talk him through why the picture is what it is and the meaning behind it. Really love it, thank you so much!

Roseberry Topping, Colourful painting, abstract

On the 30th september 2018, I went to Roseberry Topping to take a photo as it was my late daughters birthday - her ashes were scattered there. Emily said she could do a painting from the photograph I had taken that day. This is how this lovely painting came about.

When I saw the finished painting I was lost for words and very emotional. It captured everything; from the colours I liked to my daughters favourite colours. Roseberry Topping was her favourite place.

Thank you Emily. I don't think you know how much this means to me. The painting was originally going in the bedroom, but now I have decided to put it in my living room for all to see.

I have been lucky enough to have had a commission carried out for me by Emily as a big birthday treat. It has pride of place on my living room mantelpiece and is just stunningly beautiful. I am proud to tell anyone who visits my home about Emily and her work and the story of where the piece originated from. Absolutely love it, looks so funky and I’m very lucky to have had it created for me. Thank you so so much Emily - what a star you are and here’s to your continued enjoyment of and enthusiasm for your craft ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️"

"I have the privilege to share with you all a commission painted by the effervescent Emily Carter. This meaningful landscape is synonymous with my upbringing in rural Wiltshire. Roundway Hill is such a symbolic spot with all its subtle geographical features cascading towards you. The painting is a masterpiece full of depth, colour and mystery that will remind me of endless journeys with friends and family across this beautiful countryside of ours."
