Beginners Phone Photography

Service Description

This three-week course will teach you the basics of phone photography and how to use nature to ignite your creativity. You will learn how to take photos that capture the beauty of the natural world and how to use those photos to express yourself and bring wellbeing into your life. Join us on Mondays; the 9th, 16th and 23rd of October, and start seeing the world in a different light. Who am I? Hi I'm Emily, I have been a qualified art and photography teacher for the last 15 years in a secondary GCSE setting. I have just left secondary education to expand my career as an artist and educator with adults and community groups. I am a jack of all trades and I use collage, mixed media, drawing, painting, textiles, printing techniques and photograph skills. I run my own business called ECCarter Art - www.eccarterart.com - I run many different classes, teach 1:1, create colourful abstract and landscape paintings, run workshops and sell my own products around the North East. Who is this for? 18+ Anyone who is a beginner at smart phone photography. We will be meandering around the reserve and I will teach you how to look and capture beautiful photos. Do you want to learn how to take a decent picture? Do you love being in nature? Want to brush up on your photography skills? Do you have all the gear and no idea? Do you want to add some mindfulness and creativity into your day? Where? RSPB Saltholme Seaton Carew Road, Middlesbrough, TS2 1TU fully accessible and scooters are available to hire When? Monday 9th, 16th and 23rd October 12 - 2pm What? Week 1: We will look at different compositions, angles and colour theory , this will give you the confidence to explore the natural world with your smart phone. Week 2: We will explore different natural artists and photographers, exploring their work and allowing this to develop our own skills. Week 3: We will look into editing skills, apps and hints and tricks. This is a fully inclusive course and I always endeavour to help where I can, you just need to let me know!
