BLOCK of 6 LESSONS (£15 per 2 hr session - cheapest option) Wednesdays 10am - 12pm @ Hartlepool Art Gallery TERM TIME - 7, 14, 21,28th June, 5th, 12th July June 21st we will have an outside session WHO IS THIS FOR? - Beginners and those who like to dabble and create - For those who like to develop skills and who want to get back into it - Anyone needing a bit of guidance with no pressure WHEN IS THIS? - Join a warm and friendly group on a WEDNESDAY 10am - 12pm - Hartlepool Art Gallery - Church Street, Hartlepool, TS24 7EQ - PARKING - Transport Interchange - BUS - Local routes - Victoria road and Transport Interchange WHO AM I? I'm Emily, I've been an art teacher for the last 15yrs. I have a Masters in Art Pedagogy and have worked in many different areas including watercolours, printing, painting, collage, drawing etc. Over the past few years I have branched out to work within the local community and teach adults. I am knowledgeable in many different medias and have my own art business in landscape and abstract paintings. You will be working in a sketchbook and I will be giving you ideas and techniques every week, giving you the freedom to play with materials and just relax in a calm environment with like minded people. WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED? A SKETCHBOOK (ASK IF YOU ARE UNSURE) Bring your own EQUIPMENT OR for £20 I will provide your materials (Bring on first lesson) (These are some suggestions, but not exhaustive) - Large, medium small round head, 1 inch approx flat head and a extra large brush for backgrounds. (please ask if you are unsure Daler and Rowney and Windsor and Newton are good quality brands) - Palette knife ( or even a piece of cardboard or ruler) - Approx A4 sketchbook to work in (larger if you wish) - Colours of your choice - Any other materials you wish to use; watercolours, papers, pens, pastels etc. YOU WILL: - Be given a list of equipment before each lesson via email - You will learn skills and techniques when using art materials - Painting techniques - How to create washes, backgrounds, texture - Explore different artists to gain knowledge and techniques - Create your own weekly work - How to find and use your photos Any questions just ask!
